Overview

Nasi Lemak Ejam Ayer Keroh stands as a noteworthy culinary gem nestled in the heart of Melaka, specifically along Jalan Muzaffar Shah. This restaurant draws diners eager to experience authentic Malaysian flavors, particularly the beloved nasi lemak—a dish known for its rich coconut-infused rice and tantalizing accompaniments.

The signature dishes here, such as Nasi Lemak Sambal Kerang Segar and Paru Garing Berlada, highlight the kitchen’s dedication to freshness and bold flavors. The sambal kerang, made with fresh cockles, strikes a delicate balance of sweetness and heat, enriching the palate without overwhelming it. Complementing this is the crispy yet juicy ayam berempah, seasoned with an aromatic blend of spices that enhances the overall taste experience. For those who appreciate variety, the option to choose rice portions from small to large caters well to differing appetites.

Beyond the food, the ambience and practical aspects elevate the visit. Located in a bustling yet accessible area of Ayer Keroh, the restaurant benefits from ample parking facilities, a factor appreciated by both locals and visitors relying on rideshare services. The clean, simple setting encourages a relaxed dining experience, making it appealing to families, solo diners, and groups alike.

The beverage options complement the meals thoughtfully. Traditional iced teas and coffees, including teh ais kaw and kopi ais, offer refreshing contrasts to the spiced dishes, while sweeter choices like sirap bandung bring a nostalgic touch. Add-ons such as a perfectly cooked fried egg enhance the nasi lemak, adding richness and texture.

Customer feedback reveals a consensus on the quality of the food—creamy rice, well-prepared proteins, and flavorful sambal. While some note occasional service delays, these are often offset by the efficiency shown in meal preparation and food delivery. The restaurant’s ability to maintain consistent taste and reasonable pricing makes it a favored stop for those exploring Melaka’s food scene.

In summary, Nasi Lemak Ejam Ayer Keroh offers a genuine, satisfying taste of Malaysian cuisine. It stands out by balancing traditional flavors with a welcoming environment, making it a must-visit for nasi lemak enthusiasts and anyone seeking a hearty, flavorful meal in Melaka.

One of the best nasi lemak I’ve had here in melaka and the quality of their food is very good. The prices here are also decent and not so pricey. However, the service here is a bit slow, not efficient and the cashier sometimes seems blurry and slow. Thats the only downside of this restaurant

The steamed Nasi Lemak is so good and the pairing with rendang chicken is perfect. We get to choose rice portion whether S, M or L. Plenty of parking here at judging by the Grab good riders coming in and out, this must be a popular NL place. Worth the visit!

One of the best nasi lemak in Melaka. As I compose my review, the essence of the delicately steamed coconut-infused rice lingers vividly in my palate's memory. The richness of the rice is best to be paired with the ayam goreng berempah, enriched with an array of aromatic spices, is truly noteworthy. Additionally, I highly recommed the sambal kerang segar, boasting impeccably fresh cockles immersed in a mildly sweet and hot gravy. This humble restaurant in a food court offers ample and convenient parking, coupled with a clean compound and efficient food service.

A hidden gem in a food court serving very fragrant nasi lemak with various delicious side dishes. I had patronised Ejam Nasi Lemak since he was selling at a roadside stall behind BHP, Ayer Keroh. A very friendly guy. He had been working diligently for many years and now able to operate from a stall in this food court. Congrats. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Service is fast. Place is clean. Free parking available. Price is reasonable.
